Muliaage, is the Presidential residence in the Republic of the Maldives. His Exellency the President of the Republic of the Maldives’ Residence.

Muliaage History, Back to 10 February 1914, Muliaage construction began & completed on 7 December 1919.

The Palace was built as the ”Royal Palace“ by Sultan Muhammad Shamsuddeen III for his son and heir Crown Prince Hassan Izzuddin. It was built on the style of bungalows, in vogue during the colonial era in Ceylon and completed in preparation for the return of Prince Hassan Izzuddin to Male' in 1920 after completing his education at the Royal College of Colombo.
Later then The Monarchy was Abolished. During the World War II, it was used as several “Government office”. "Between 1960 and 1964 Muliaage served as the residence and office of the British Government Political Agent, Humphrey Arthington-Davy. He was the first British official posted to Male."
Republic Use
In 1968, President Ibrahim Nasir declared Muliaage as the presidential palace but it was because Nasir only took temporary residence at Muliaage while his own house, Velaanaa'ge, was under construction.
Starting from 2009, Muliaage became the presidential palace for every Maldivian President.
